Noise protection in form of overhead glazing at “Aschaffenburg Rail Ring”

Based on the noise protection plan developed by the Municipal Aschaffenburg in Germany, the road network, having a traffic volume of more than 16400 vehicles per day, was expanded beyond the scope required by the law.

During building of the town bypass, the “Austrian Quarter” residential area was protected  with a 2 m high and 3 m horizontally cantilevered glass noise barrier “KOHLHAUER SCORSA® LNP”, as the last construction phase of the Eastern rail ring. This filigree noise protection construction, with a total length of 277 m, was finished in around 3 months by our partner, Josef Pfaffinger Bauunternehmung GmbH from Passau, Germany.
